Marathon adventure gets global backing

Weider Global Nutrition have thrown their weight behind Tesco's Tim Smith and Paul Dickens as they tackle their epic marathon adventure in a bid to raise £40,000 for MDC.

The world-leading sports nutrition company were so impressed by the commitment shown by Tim and Paul that they agreed to supply them with premium products to fuel their 6-day, 200km runs across the Amazon Jungle in October 2009 and the Sahara Desert in March 2010.

Steve Bernstein, Weider's United Kingdom Sales Director, said:

When Tim Smith approached us I was knocked over by this team’s dedication and commitment. Weider has a proud 70 year heritage of foundations and charities and we are delighted to team up with Tim’s team to raise money for a very good cause.
