Choir set to hit the fundraising high notes
Monday 25 January 2010
A Surrey-based choir are aiming to hit the fundraising high notes for the Tesco Charity of the Year
partnership as they host an evening of entertainment in an attempt to raise £1,500.
The 100-strong Elmbridge Choir will be warming up their vocal chords at Claygate Village Hall on Saturday 20 February, performing songs by Queen, The Beatles and Diana Ross, and many classics from West End Musicals including The Sound of Music, Chicago and Phantom of the Opera. They will be joined by the Elmbridge Ladies Choir whose repertoire features hits by Sting, Cher, Ella Fitzgerald, ABBA, The Weather Girls and many more.
The show starts at 7.30pm, with tickets from £10 available on the door. Every penny raised by the concert will help fund life-changing equipment for children with muscle-wasting disease in Surrey.
