Thanks 'four' everything!

The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's Tesco Charity of the Year partnership has come to an end with a stunning £4 million banked so far from 12 months of fantastic fundraising.

From mountain climbs to marathons and clay pigeon shoots to choir concerts, Tesco staff have gone the extra mile to raise this incredible sum - smashing the original target of £3 million with the promise of more to follow.

These vital funds will provide over 600 children with muscular dystrophy with the life-changing equipment, such as powered wheelchairs, electric beds and portable hoists, that they need to lead happier, more independent lives.

Reflecting on the end of a hugely successful partnership, Muscular Dystrophy Campaign Chief Executive Philip Butcher said:

On behalf of the many children with muscular dystrophy to have benefitted from the Tesco Charity of the Year partnership I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in the incredible fundraising events over the past 12 months.

To have raised over £4 million in a recession is an inspirational achievement, and a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication that all Tesco staff have shown for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign
