Electric bed leads to restful night for Patel family
For the parents of a child with![]()
muscular dystrophy the night can be a difficult and stressful time.
Many parents have to wake up hourly to turn their child over in bed to
prevent them developing breathing
difficulties and bed sores.
An electric bed, like the one recently received from Charity of the Year funding by 13-year-old Ronak Patel of North London, puts a stop to this and means that mum and dad can have a restful night’s sleep.
Ronak can use the controls on his bed to alter his position and stay comfortable, both when trying to sleep and when reading, watching TV or playing on his PlayStation. It also makes for a happier, calmer breakfast table each morning with everyone having slept well!
